Roberto Medina
National Coordinator
Colombia FCA

Roberto met James Oilar in 2011 in the City of Barranquilla while both were serving as translators with a medical missions group. Roberto already had a passion for God and for sports ministry, he just didn’t know how to do it. He started out as a volunteer and has quickly risen to second in command serving as the National Coordinator for Colombia. When he isn’t traveling to other cities to expand the ministry, Roberto focuses on growing existing ministry along the North Coast of Colombia in the cities of Barranquilla, Cartagena, and Santa Marta.

Rozmer Gonzalez
Greater Caracas FCA Director

As a former business owner Rozmer initially felt that his skills would best translate by serving and starting a local Caracas FCA Leadership Board to help support the ministry financially. However, he eventually felt the call of God to leave his work and now serves as our Full-Time Greater Caracas FCA Director. In two short years God has given Rozmer and the Greater Caracas FCA Team favor and access to serve the most elite professional athletes in Venezuela.

Ruben Chavez
Community Ministry Director
Riobamba, Ecuador

Ruben began in 2013 serving as a Community Ministry Representative in Cali, Colombia where he excelled in building a team of volunteers to serve existing soccer teams in his community.  However, in 2017 he felt the Lord calling him back to his native country of Ecuador to start FCA in the city of Riobamba and we are glad he did. Ruben has already formed a Board of local Pastors and Christian Businessmen and has trained and equipped over 20 volunteers to serve as FCA Chaplains to existing Soccer Teams in the Community.

Juan Fernando Calero
Community Ministry Representative
Cali, Colombia

Juan Fernando began serving with FCA in 2018.  He was pivotal in organizing one of the largest 3-Dimensional Coaching Seminars in our history with over 200 coaches present.  As a basketball coach, Juan has formed 3 FCA Teams in his community in partnership with the First Baptist Church of Cali where he is a member.

Gustavo Rivero
FCA Guárico Director
Valle de La Pascua, VZ

Before Gustavo officially came on staff with FCA in July 2016, he organized two baseball camps with nearly 1,000 players. An attorney by trade and former President of Criollitos Baseball for Guárico, VZ, Gustavo now serves as our Guárico FCA Director and lives in Valle de La Pascua. In the first year of ministry in Guárico, Gustavo and the FCA Guárico Team reached over 200 coaches, 3,600 athletes and 4,500 family members.

Dario Ortega
Campus Ministry Representative

Valencia, VZ

Dario comes to FCA as a seasoned veteran. Dario has served as a Chaplain for Baseball Chaplain having discipled current major leaguers like Jose Altuve and Robinson Chirinos. He also serves as a Pastor at the University of Carabobo all while Pastoring a local church. Needless to say, he has his hands full but the vision and mission of FCA was the missing piece in order to reach coaches and athletes in Valencia, VZ where he serves as our University Director for Valencia FCA.

Eli Samuel Hernandez

FCA Soccer Academy Coach
Barquisimeto, VZ

Fresh out of Seminary and recently married, Eli started out as a volunteer FCA Chaplain in Caracas, VZ while he was searching for full-time pastoral positions. As a former professional soccer player “Eli” already had a passion for sports and loved the vision and mission of FCA. It just seemed like a natural fit. Eli now serves as our Community Ministry Director and FCA Soccer Academy Coach in Barquisimeto, VZ.

Julian Alonso Correa

Bogota, Colombia

Julian’s first experience with FCA was in 2012 when he served as Lead Instructor for our first-ever Soccer Camp in Barranquilla, Colombia. He was so moved by the experience that he came on board as volunteer staff in his home city of Bogotá. As a former professional soccer player, his main interest is reaching soccer coaches and teams in private schools. In additional to his outstanding soccer talent and coaching ability, He is also a certified John Maxwell Leadership Coach.
